Four WildCats earned All-ODAC recognition

Salem, VA -- The Randolph College men's soccer team enjoyed its finest season as a program with seven victories and a trip to the ODAC quarterfinals. In doing so, four WildCat players were recognized for their outstanding play during the year. Sophomore midfielder Eddy Ratianarivo earned a spot on the All-ODAC First Team, while sophomore forward Jonathon Bolton was named to the All-ODAC Second Team. Sophomore defender Justin Stephens was named All-ODAC Honorable Mention, and sophomore goalie Aaron Humphreys earned a spot on the All-ODAC Sportsmanship Team.

Ratianarivo was steady all year in the midfield for the WildCats, finishing with 13 points on four goals and five assists. He was second in the conference in shots (72) and fourth in shots per game (3.79). Ratianarivo recorded the game winning goal in a 2-1 overtime win against Guilford College in the WildCats first conference victory.

Bolton led the WildCats offensively with 17 points on eight goals and one assist. His eight goals were good for eighth in the conference. He led the conference in game-winning goals with four on the season. Earlier in the season, Bolton was named Athlete of the Week for his outstanding play. He recorded two game-winning goals during that week, a 2-1 win over Randolph-Macon College, and a 1-0 win at Hampden-Sydney College in what may have been the biggest win in program history.

Stephens anchored the WildCat defense while providing some scoring punch. He finished the season with three points on one goal and one assist. The WildCats recorded four shutouts with the help from Stephens on the back line.

Humphreys proved himself to be one of the best goalies in the conference this season. He ranked second in the conference in saves with 100. Humphreys finished the season with a 1.89 goals against average while playing and starting in all 19 contests for the WildCats. He posted four shutouts throughout the season. His best effort came in the quarterfinal matchup against Lynchburg College where Humphreys made spectacular save after spectacular save in net for the WildCats in a 1-0 overtime loss.
