Aaron Humphreys picks up the shutout in the win

Danville, VA -- Jonathon Bolton found the back of the net twice as Randolph College posted a 5-0 win over Averett University in men's soccer action Monday afternoon.
With the win Randolph improves to 2-4 overall on the season, while Averett slips to 1-3 overall on the year.
Rashan Colbert put Randolph on the board first when he deflected a corner kick into the back of the net at the 28:42 mark of the first period for a 1-0 lead. Bolton would then add his first goal of the game off assists from Eddy Ratianarivo and Colbert at the 43:58 mark of the first period extending the lead to 2-0.
After an own goal by Averett, Jonas Kjaer slipped by two defenders and netted an unassisted goal at the 85:56 mark of the second period. Bolton would add his second goal of the game late in the second period to increase the lead to 5-0.
Randolph outshot Averett 29-3, while holding a 8-1 advantage in corner kicks in the game. Aaron Humphreys had two saves in the game to pick up the shutout.
The WildCats will return to action Wednesday when they host Hood College at Heritage High School at 7:00 pm.
