Lynchburg, VA -- Junior forward Lindsay Cross poured in a game-high 15 points and added six rebounds as Randolph College posted a 68-41 win against visiting Trinity College Monday night in a non-conference matchup. The win ends the WildCats 2008-2009 season.

With the win Randolph finishes with a 7-18 overall record. Trinity falls to 2-19 overall on the year.

Randolph came out strong leading 21-0 after the first ten minutes of play. Trinity scored its first two points on the free throw line at the 9:19 mark of the first half. The WildCats took a commanding 35-13 lead into the break.

The second half was much of the same, as Randolph dominated the inside scoring 34 of its 68 points in the paint and forced the Tigers into 27 turnovers in the contest. Randolph would convert 28 points off of the Tigers miscues.

Joining Cross in double figures was Katie Rechnitzer with 13 points, including three treys. Megan Carney and Michelle Blalock each added 7 points for the WildCats, who lose one senior to graduation. Randolph held a 42-39 advantage on the boards, while shooting a sizzling 44.3 percent (27-61) from the field.

Sharell Kyle led Trinity with 15 points. Stefonie Kelly pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds in the loss.
