Lynchburg, VA -- Shelley Hoath netted two goals and Lynchburg College dominated the offensive side of the field as the seventh ranked Hornets posted a 4-0 win over visiting Randolph College Tuesday night in ODAC women's soccer action.

With the loss Randolph falls to 2-4 overall and 0-2 in conference play. Lynchburg improves to 3-1-1 overall and 1-0 in ODAC matches.

Hoath put Lynchburg on the board first when she scored off assists from Fallon Page and Katie Gephard at the 29:22 mark of the first half. Although outshot throughout the first half, the WildCats' defense packed tightly into its defensive end and goalie Victoria Johnson made spectacular save after spectacular save to keep the game within reach at the break.

Early in the second half, Hoath would record her second tally, and just 13 minutes later the Hornets struck again this time a goal from Brittany Klippstein to extend the lead to 3-0. Cecilia Moore would add one more goal just before time would expire to secure the ODAC win for Lynchburg.

Johnson played her best game in net thus far this season for the WildCats finishing with a season-high 19 saves, including several outstanding stops to prevent sure Hornet goals.

The WildCats will return to action Saturday when they travel to Peace College for a non-conference match at 4:00 p.m.
