Cary, NC -- First-year Samantha Wittie recorded her first collegiate goal which proved to be all the WildCats needed to post a 1-0 shutout win at Peace College Saturday afternoon in women's soccer action.

With the win Randolph improves to 3-4 overall, while Peace slips to 0-5 on the year.

Wittie took a pass from Courtney Collier and found the back of the net at the 18:57 mark of the first half to put the WildCats up early. It proved to be all Randolph needed as the WildCats defense held Peace's offensive attack at bay throughout the end of the first half and all through the second frame. WildCat goalie Victoria Johnson showed again why she is considered one of the best goalies in the conference as she posted her second shutout of the season with a game-high 20 saves.

Peace outshot Randolph 31-15, and held a big advantage in corner kicks at 10-0, but it wasnt enough as the WildCats held on for the non-conference win.

Randolph will return to conference play Tuesday when they host Virginia Wesleyan College at 6:00 p.m. at the new track and field complex.
