Women's Soccer holds first annual Alumnae match

17 former WildCats return to the field for the first annual alumnae match

Lynchburg, VA -- On a day full of rain, wind, and more rain the Randolph College women's soccer team welcomed back 17 former WildCats to participate in the first annual Alumnae match held at the college's new track and field complex.

The conditions were far from perfect as heavy rains moved into the Lynchburg area Saturday morning and continued until late in the evening. The 2009 WildCats squared off against the pack of alumnae in two thirty minute halves. The first half belong to the current WildCats as they took a 3-0 lead after the first thirty minutes of play.

After three more goals for the 2009 team, the alumnae would not be held scoreless as Lyndsey Lederer 05' scored the lone goal with just fifteen seconds remaining in the contest to put the alumnae on the board at 6-1.
