Margida recorded a season best time in the meet

Greensboro, NC -- The Randolph College Women's Cross Country team took first place in the Division III division at the Hagan Stone Classic in Greensboro, NC on Saturday morning. Every WildCat runner recorded season best times in the meet.

Senior Ashley Haugh led the WildCats with a time of 22:50 (75th overall), over two minutes faster than her previous season best. Fellow senior Barbara LaFleur followed with a time of 24:01 (79th overall), over one minute faster then her previous season best. First-year Lily Noguchi finished at 24:02 (80th overall), over one minute faster then her previous season best. Seniors Katelin Shugart-Schmidt and Michaela Margida also recorded season best times. Shugart-Schmidt finished at 24:21 (82nd overall) while Margida finished at 28:23 (93rd overall). Shugart-Schmidt was over three minutes faster than her season best, while Margida was 1:18 better than her previous best. First-year Lila Miller rounded out the Randolph runners with a time of 25:57 (88th overall). Miller recorded the biggest improvement in times, finishing 4:44 faster than her previous season/personal best.

Randolph will return to action Saturday when they travel to Guilford College to compete in the Guilford College Invitational at 10:15 a.m.
