McCraken anchored the WildCats defense in goal in the win

Lynchburg, VA -- The Randolph College men’s lacrosse team defeated the Longwood University Lacrosse team (MCLA) on Sunday afternoon, 6-4. The WildCats were led on offense by first year midfielder T.J. Story (Rowayton, CT/Oakley School), who had three goals and one assist. First year attackmen Jamie Sugiyama (Alexandria, VA/ St. Stephen’s/St. Agnes) tallied two goals and Jon O’Hara (Yorktown, VA/ Grafton) had one goal in their first College lacrosse action. First year’s Stephen Allman (Goodview, VA/Roanoke Catholic) and John Croney (Wilmington, DE/ Brandywine) each recorded an assist.

The defense was anchored by Sophomores Nick Randall (Yarmouth, ME/ Yarmouth) and Greg Herrick (Mt. Airy, MD/ Linganore). Newcomers Gage Anderson (Idledale, CO/ Columbine), Ryan Blackwell (Ashburn, VA/Briar Woods) and Connor Adams (Fredericksburg, VA/ Stafford) also made strong contributions in their first action for Randolph College.

Kevin McCracken (Annandale, VA/ Annandale) had another strong outing in the goal for the WildCats.

Randolph completes its fall practice season this Saturday, October 10th.
