Box Score

Lynchburg, VA -- Visiting Guilford College scored twice in the first half, then added one more for insurance in the second frame to post a 3-0 shutout win over Randolph College in women's soccer action Tuesday night.

With the loss Randolph slips to 3-10 overall and 0-7 in conference play. Guilford improves to 6-8 overall on the year and 4-3 in ODAC matches.

Guilford's Danielle Fiori tallied the eventual game-winner at the 33:27 mark of the first half when she controlled a rebound off WildCat keeper Victoria Johnson which found the back of the net. Just two minutes later, Lauren Matthews would score when Johnson came out of her net to secure a ball, but fell as Matthews controlled the loose ball and scored in the empty net.

Marina Schachowskoj would tally the Quakers final goal with just under eight minutes to play off an assist from Lily Wotkyns.

Guilford outshot the WildCats 31-7, while holding a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks. Johnson finished with 10 saves, while Quakers' keeper Kat Adams recorded four saves in the shutout victory.

Randolph will return to action Saturday when the WildCats travel to Randolph-Macon College for an ODAC match scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
