Lynchburg, VA -- 110 minutes could not decide an outcome Wednesday night as Randolph College and visiting Bridgewater College battled to a 1-1 decision in ODAC men's soccer action.

With the tie Randolph sees its overall mark move to 4-8-4 and stands 3-3-3 in ODAC play. Bridgewater stands 1-14-1 overall and 0-7-1 in conference matches.

Randolph sophomore midfielder Nick Hudson gave the WildCats the early lead as he scored his fourth goal of the season and second in as many games off assists from sophomores Robert Goldnetz and Chris Geyer. Randolph would take the 1-0 lead into the half.

Bridgewater's Nick Rutten would tie the match at 1-1 when he beat WildCat keeper first-year Scott Zaring off assists from Ryan Tavernaris and Kevin Gorman. Both teams would have several scoring opportunities the rest of the second half and into the two overtimes but could not secure the conference win.

Randolph held a 22-19 advantage in shots. The WildCats were awarded nine corner kicks, while the Eagles tallied four corners. Junior goalie Aaron Humphreys started and played the first half finishing with three saves in 45 minutes of action. Zaring played the rest of the 65 minutes in net finishing with three saves. Eagles' keeper Jack Bottoms played all 110 minutes in net posting five saves.

Randolph will return to action Saturday when the WildCats welcome Averett University to Lynchburg for a non-conference tilt scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Randolph will honor its lone senior, Montana Gibson, prior to the start of the match.
