Johnson needs just 23 saves to become Randolph's all-time leader

Harrisonburg, VA -- Taylor Sayre's goal at the 65:37 mark of the second half proved to be the game-winner as host Eastern Mennonite University posted a 1-0 ODAC win over Randolph College Wednesday night in women's soccer action.

With the loss Randolph drops to 3-12 overall and 0-9 in conference matches. EMU improves to 6-9 overall and 3-6 in ODAC play.

Sayre unassisted goal in the last twenty minutes of play was all the Royals needed to pull out the hard-fought conference win. EMU held a commanding 49-3 advantage in shots, while earning 11 corner kicks in the contest. WildCats keeper Victoria Johnson finished with a season-high 27 saves on the night.

Randolph will return to action Saturday when the WildCats host Bridgewater College for a match scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
