Lynchburg, VA -- Visiting Roanoke College used five first half goals, then added five more in the second frame to post a 10-0 shutout win over Randolph College in ODAC women's soccer action Wednesday night. The loss overshadowed WildCat keeper junior Victoria Johnson as she broke the ODAC and school record for career saves.

With the loss Randolph concludes the 2009 season at 3-14 overall and 0-11 in conference matches. Roanoke improves to 11-6 overall and 7-4 in ODAC play.

Johnson broke the record on her tenth save of the night at the 34:26 mark of the first half. She finishes the 2009 season with 211 saves, and stands at 749career saves through three seasons. Johnson breaks the previous mark held by Randolph's Amy Dameron '04 at 741.

Roanoke controlled most of the contest scoring five goals in each half. Rebekah Adams and Jessica Welfare each added two goals and one assist on the night. The Maroons held a 48-4 shot advantage and a 10-0 advantage in corner kicks.

WildCat lone senior defender Shar Plows was honored before the match for all her hard work and dedication to the women's soccer program over her four years.
