Ashley Lovegrove earns Reserve Award

Lynchburgm VA -- The Randolph College Riding team started their Spring season as the WildCats competed at the Randolph College/Lynchburg College IHSA Show on Friday and the Sweet Briar College IHSA Show on Sunday.
Randolph finished fourth in the RC/LC IHSA Show. Hollins University earned High Point College honors, while Sweet Briar College finished with Reserve honors.
Ashley Lovegrove earned Reserve honors, taking first in the open fences and open flat. Betsy Christianson took third in the open fences and fourth in the open flat. Gillian Baird finished fifth in the open flat, while Jennifer Fowler finished fourth in the novice fences.
At the SBC IHSA Show, Randolph finished sixth due to a rules issue. Lynchburg College took home first place, while the host Sweet Briar College finished with Reserve honors.
Lovegrove finished second in the open fences and open flat. Christianson finished fifth in the open fences and third in the open flat. Baird recorded first in the open flat, while Lexi Mandarakas finished second in the novice fences. Jonathan Brooks came in second in the WT.
Randolph will return to competition Saturday when they travel to Bridgewater, Va. to compete in the Bridgewater College IHSA Show at 12:00 p.m.
