Ashley Lovegrove earns High Point Rider honors

Roanoke, VA -- The Randolph College Riding team finished with Reserve Point honors at the Hollins University IHSA Show on Saturday.
Ashley Lovegrove captured High Point Rider honors, taking first place in the open flat and second place in the open fences. Eileen Buckingham finished fourth in the novice flat, while Jennifer Fowler captured second in the novice fences. Alanna Mayernik placed fourth in the intermediate flat, and Brynne Gingras finished second in the walk trot.
Sweet Briar College finished as the High Point College. Sweet Briar's Meredith Newman was awarded Reserve Rider honors.
The WildCats will return to competition Sunday when they travel to the University of Virginia to compete in the UVA IHSA Show and the Zone IV Region 2 Regionals.
