Lynchburg, VA -- Visiting Guilford College used good pitching and timely hitting to post a sweep of Randolph College in ODAC softball action Wednesday afternoon. The Quakers took game one 11-3 in six innings, then posted an 8-1 win in game two.

In game one, the Quakers used a six-run second inning to open up a 6-0 lead and never looked back adding five more runs in the fifth and sixth innings to post the 11-3 win in six innings. Game two proved much of the same for Randolph, who struggled to get anything going with the bats. The WildCats managed only five hits in the game, committing four errors leading to four runs. Guilford had no trouble capitalizing as the Quakers jumped out to a 4-0 lead after four innings. Randolph managed one run in the fifth when Cross was walked with the bases loaded, but could not cut the lead any closer. Jessica Burcham recorded the win for Guilford going four scoreless innings allowing only two hits. She struck out six WildCats during that stretch.
