Rechnitzer led the WildCats with 11.9 ppg and 44 treys

Salem, VA -- Randolph College junior guard Katie Rechnitzer garnered 2009 All-ODAC Honorable Mention honors for the second straight season as announced by the conference office Wednesday night. The sharpshooting guard averaged 11.9 points per game, canning a team-high 44 three-pointers during the season. Rechnitzer shot a team-best 84.6 percent from the foul line, leading the WildCats to five wins in ODAC play. Rechnitzer has totaled 946 points in her three-year career, and will look to become the ninth WildCat player to reach the 1,000 point plateau in her senior season.

Randolph-Macon College senior Molly Ariail earned her third major women's basketball award in as many seasons as the Yellow Jackets' center repeated as the ODAC Player of the Year in the league's annual all-conference voting. Roanoke College mentor, Susan Dunagan, was tabbed as the ODAC Coach of the Year for the seventh time. Washington and Lee guard, Meghan Ingram, was selected as the ODAC Rookie of the Year, and Amanda Hiltunen joins her R-MC teammate as a repeat honoree as she earned the ODAC/Farm Bureau Scholar Athlete award for the second straight season.
